INTRODUCTION

JEFF LOVE

Joy and blessedness flower from my life in Mount Shasta. My writing name is Jeff Love. I am the creator, writer, and web master of the Web Page: MOUNT SHASTA WISDOM PROJECT. I am retired from work, live in Mount Shasta City, and am a student at the College of the Siskiyous. My major activities are philosophy, service to the community of Mount Shasta, and participating in spiritual activities. I created two comical and inspiring characters: Golden Boy: JEFF LOVE and Good Will Ambassador of Mount Shasta: FLOW ANANDA.

MOUNT SHASTA

In the summer this sign hangs from the metal poles of Mount Shasta City: "Mount Shasta: where heaven and earth meet." Theodore Roosevelt, a President of the United States exclaimed in 1908, "I consider twilight on Mount Shasta one of the greatest sights I have ever witnessed." John Muir, a noted poet and writer of the 19th century, wrote, "When I first caught sight of it (Mount Shasta), over the braided fields of the Sacramento Valley, I was fifty miles away and afoot, alone, and weary. Yet all my blood turned to wine, and I have not been weary since."

Mount Shasta reveals the essence of majesty and magnificence. The grandeur of Mount Shasta stands 14,162 feet in elevation. It is located in northern California, Siskiyou County, 60 miles from the Oregon border. This mountain is considered the jewel of the Cascade Mountain Range and Northern California. Mount Shasta is the second highest volcano of the continental United States. Four small towns in southern Siskiyou County are located in the vicinity of the Mountain and include Mount Shasta City (3,800 people) - the home of the mountain, Weed (3,000), Dunsmuir (1,900), and McCloud (1,300). The Mount Shasta region is known for its natural beauty, majestic forests, tourist center, and outdoor sports such as skiing, snowboarding, fishing, mountain climbing, biking, and hiking.

WHY MOUNT SHASTA EXCELS IN THE PURSUIT OF WISDOM

Mount Shasta inspires enlightened love. People in the presence of the mountain experience its compassion and intense light.

Mount Shasta is considered one of the sacred mountains of Earth. A sacred location has these characteristics: feeling of spirituality, mysterious power of the gods, manifests supernatural and divine forces, and is unique and extraordinary. Mount Shasta lives in the company of these sacred mountains: Mount Kailas of Tibet, Mount Sinai, where God gave Moses the 10 commandments, Mount Olympus, the home of the gods and goddesses of ancient Greece, Mount Fuji of Japan.

Mount Shasta ranks as a sacred mountain for these reasons:

1. The creation myth of the Native North American Indians of Northern California and the Modoc people relate this story. "The Great Spirit created a mountain from above, cutting a hole in the sky and pushing down ice and snow until a mountain was formed that pierced the clouds." These native people believe that the Great Spirit made his home on Mount Shasta.

2. New age groups regard this mountain as a source of cosmic energy and an important grid site for the planet. The groups meditate on the mountain and perform initiation ceremonies. Mount Shasta is considered an entry point to the fifth dimension and revered as a Great Mother.

3. Guy Ballard, founder of the "I AM" Movement, claimed that he encountered the Master of Wisdom Saint Germain on the vicinity of the mountain in the 1930s.

4. Mountain Shasta people claim that Mount Shasta is a major UFO base and observe over Mount Shasta lenticular clouds that resemble UFOs.

5. Every spring at the full moon of Taurus, the Wessak Festival is held for three days at the College of the Siskiyous. This festival corresponds to one held at the Himalayas of India.

6. Mount Shasta is the alleged home of a large ancient Lemurian population who live in Telos, an underground city of 1.5 million beings.

Mount Shasta is a wonderful place for spiritual and metaphysical experiences. The Mount Shasta Chamber list such organizations as Crystal Book Store, Dolphin Star Temple, and Shastao Philosophical Information. A local wise lady is Amorah Quan Yin who is author of these books: The Pleiadian Workbook: Awakening Your Divine Ka, The Pleiadian Tantric Workbook: Awakening Your Divine Ba, and Pleiadian Perspectives on Human Evolution. She channels for the Pleiadian Emissaries of Light, Sirian Archangelic League of Light, Andromedian Emissaries of Light, and Intergalatic Federation of Light. Wisdom comes from within oneself. Mount Shasta puts you in touch with yourself.

Mount Shasta brings in energies from other dimensions and is a portal for Mother Earth. A mystic can bring these energies into his/her consciousness and contact wise beings.
